- Download the map of Ancient Egypt and print.
- Watch the video on the geography of Ancient Egypt.
- Label the areas on your map and shade the appropriate areas listed green or blue.
- Label the directional flow of the Nile River.

- As a whole class, students will watch the YouTube geography video posted and discuss the following points: Upper/Lower Egypt, “Gift of the Nile”, fertile soil and other new vocabulary words.
- Students will label and shade the appropriate areas on their map. The instructor will want to download and print worksheet before the activity. Students will then place in their portfolio.
- Group work: Students will be paired up in groups of four to work on round-robin reading Nile passage.
- Students will then think-pair-share their Nile river notes, writing down significant facts about the Nile’s resources. Students will then place in their portfolio.
- Students will download the vocabulary worksheet and in Word, provide definitions and examples and save it, then print for their portfolio.
