Mission #4: Social Pyramid
Part 1: Social Pyramid Activity
Teacher Directions:
Download the PDF PowerPoint and discuss with your students about the social pyramid of Ancient Egypt. Ask your students about the influential people at their school. Who are they and where would they place them in the pyramid? Print out the social pyramid worksheet and during the discussion, have your students take notes on which types of people would fall under each category. Students will place this into their portfolio.
After the discussion, have your students do the exit slip activity: Turn to a neighbor and share at least ONE role within the social pyramid of Egypt, and why it was important to the overall development of the civilization of Egypt?
